Joshua C. Wilkerson is a dedicated leader and lifelong resident of Baxley, GA, stepping forward as a Democratic candidate for the Georgia State Senate, representing District 19. As a young Black Democrat, Joshua believes it's time for a fresh perspective and a new generation of leadership to address the vital needs of our communities.

Joshua's commitment to service is deeply rooted in his work as the co-founder of Catalyst International Ministries. Through this organization, he has passionately championed initiatives focused on empowering and guiding individuals and families toward positive growth and deeper purpose. This experience has instilled in him a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Georgia's families and a passion for working collaboratively to build strong communities.

Recognizing the need for a more inclusive and equitable business landscape, Joshua also founded and leads the Georgia Minority Business Network. In this role, he has actively worked to provide resources, connections, and support to minority entrepreneurs, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and opportunity within the state.

Joshua is committed to building bridges and finding common ground to deliver real results for the people of District 19. He believes in the power of active engagement and collaborative leadership to shape a brighter future for Georgia. Expand Medicaid: Advocate for the full expansion of Medicaid in Georgia to provide healthcare coverage to more low-income individuals and families.
Support Rural Healthcare: Highlight the critical role of rural hospitals and healthcare access, particularly given concerns about potential closures and the impact on seniors and families.
Lower Healthcare Costs: Address rising healthcare costs and promote solutions that make healthcare more affordable for all Georgians.

Support Small Businesses: Champion policies that help small businesses thrive, such as increasing the tangible personal property tax exemption to alleviate financial burdens, particularly due to inflation.
